Antique Senta typewriter made in Germany in 1920 and in excellent working order. This is the first model manufactured and commercialized by Frister & Rossman AG, Berlin, which launched it just at the onset of WWI. In those days the firm was a massive global force, but after the war the restrictions imposed by the victorious parties, together with the Great Depression forced F.&R. to sell their typewriters to Gritzner & Keyser in 1925. This model is simple and functional and boasts the great attractive of old-time typewriters. The black-lacquered finish that covers the iron body is quite well preserved except for some minor flaws. At the top of the typewriter, over the carriage we can see a gorgeous decal with an image of the factory flanked by the model name, SENTA. Over the keyboard there is a golden inscription with the manufacturers name. The keyboard is composed of circular keys with black background and ochre symbols. It is in good condition though some keys show slight signs of wear. This antique Senta typewriter will shine on an imposing desk, a bookshelf or an ancient sideboard.
