Elegant wall clock with chimes made by Junghans brand in the year 1,900. This beautiful antique model, slim and with beautiful details and side columns, is in perfect working order. The clock chimes the hours and the half hours with a beautiful deep gong. Made of wood veneer with solid mahogany trim, the bottom of the box shows a beautiful frisage of wood veneer. The box is in very good condition, except for a portion of the crown where there is a small loss of veneer, easily recoverable by a professional restorer. The beauty of this clock is joined by its authenticity, witnessed by the presence of the firm Junghans, with its star logo, printed on the face. We can find the same stamp in the metal mechanism, a proof of the quality of all parts. The nice design of the face is embellished with a gold ring which surrounds it, and another one that appears just by the numbers. I retains the original key that winds the mechanism. A highlight is the beautiful pendulum which is inside the slim wooden box. Made of brass, is burnished and polished and it is in excellent condition. Just behind and below the lentil pendulum, we see a white enamel plate with black Roman numerals which indicate the steps of the pendulum. The box itself is also beautifully crafted. It has a front door composed by a wood frame (adorned with side columns), which supports the front glass panel. The early century design of this beautiful clock combines well with the prestige of the firm and its superb performance, making it a piece perfect to embellish the most elegant homes. Clock measures: 1050 mm high x 390 mm wide x 150 mm depth. Face diameter: 140 mm.
