Big size German wall clock from the beginning of the 20th century (year 1900), made of solid wood and in perfect working order. This fine clock is quite big and is made of beech solid wood with an attractive mahogany color finish, fully restored so it can show its full splendor. The clock chimes the hours and the halves and is decorated with turned pillars, trims and hand-carved motives. All these details provide it with an unmistakable and smart classic style, which together with its good condition and working order make up a first-class article. The clocks box is crowned by a hand-carved wooden figure in the shape of an eagle with its wings outstretched. This fine sculpture sits on a volute-shaped ornamental top, in whose center we can see a luxurious polished brass medallion with an embossed baroque bust of a woman. On both sides of this piece there are two carved and turned elements which complete the top. The box goes just under it, with its glass door and containing the clocks movement, the sober and elegant face with Roman numbers and the brass pendulum bob with white face and a gothic style inscription: R = A. The door is flanked by two stylized turned pillars with a leave-shaped carved base each one. The winding key is the original one. If we turn the clocks movement, on its back we will discover the serial number engraved in the metal: 29976. The clock is more than one meter high, which turns it into a very imposing and remarkable item. The mahogany finish is enhanced by the warmth of the French polish which protects the wood. It has been restored and looks great. This striking German clock is the ideal piece to decorate the most stylish and personal room. Measurements: 340 mm width x 1006 mm height.
