Deutsche Reichs Wall Clock. Germany, 1895

Beautiful antique pendulum wall clock made by Deutsche Reichs circa 1895. The clock has been fully restored, both the wood of the case and the clocks movement which has been adjusted by a professional clockmaker. The movement chimes each hour and halves over a gong, that is holding in the left hand of a winged angel. The decorative wooden case with baroque architectural features is divided into two main logs, flanked by columns and an undulating upper cornice.The clock is made of two woods of different color, which makes it a very decorative piece. The side columns are made of beech with ebonized parts. The columns interlock clearly with the lower pinnacles, made in walnut and that enhance the decoration of this magnificent piece. The upper cornice, also made of walnut, is framed by two lateral pinnacles and an upper one. It appears decorated with a beautiful brass piece with the image of a winged angel.The beautiful dial of white porcelain and Roman numerals that are enameled in black, is in perfect condition and the clock comes with its original key. The minute and hour hands are pica type. As we say, the enamel is in perfect state of preservation, unpolluted, without any hair, practically as new. The beautiful rods pendulum has an original pendulum bob decorated in the purest Art Noveau style and features a central rosette in porcelain.The movement chimes the hours and halves. Its in perfect state of preservation, both aesthetic and functional. The mechanism has been revised and is practically as new, perfect to mark the hours from the first minute.
