Magnificent French Clock Morez Type Approximately 1900. It consists of a beautiful square upper case decorated at the corners with vegetal motifs, to which is added a decorative upper crest with a religious scene in low relief in gilded bronze mercury. The magnificent signed white enamel dial has some hairs, signs of the passage of time and the age of the piece. The simple Roman numerals of the hours are painted in black enamel and the metal hands are finely openworked with stylized plant forms. From the decorative case hang the two weights and the pendulum of rods with lyre that ends in a simple circular lens with glossy finish. It is in perfect conditions of conservation and operation, with the revision done and ready to make it work. All parts are original and the original key is included. The first domestic clocks were wall clocks moved by weights, which generally lasted 30 hours, until the innovation of the spring mechanism was developed.woods, ceramics and different metals were used to make the cases, and the mechanisms also varied considerably.
