This is a beautiful wall clock with music Box, made in 1880-1900. The clock is large and consists of a large architectural structure framed by two lateral columns and topped by a balustrade with fleur de lis and a spectacular eagle carved in darker wood. Beautiful white enamelled face in perfect condition, with Roman numerals in black enamel, surrounded by a circle of brass with beautiful Art Nouveau floral motifs. The pendulum rod ends in a beautiful lentil decorated with vegetable concentric forms. This clock is unique because when it chimes, a musical melody sounds. It brings the original key and the machine is reviewed. It is perfect aesthetically and functionally too. The first domestic clocks worked with weights, which generally lasted 30 hours, until they developed into spring mechanism. They used wood, ceramics and different metals to make the boxes, and the mechanisms varied considerably. Decorations were developed according to the time in which they were produced, because the external aspect of these pieces was very important in the most important countries that produced clocks: France and England. This is a beautiful clock that moreover chimes with a beautiful melody.Dimensions: 107 x 37 cms.
