Big Kienzle wall clock made in Germany in 1900. This is a highly beautiful piece that joins a striking presence with a great working order. The clock chimes the hours and the halves and its movement has been fully revised in order to provide an impeccable working. It is made of two different kinds of wood, one color each, and its neoclassical style with bottom balcony is fit to stand out in the living room of the noblest house. The wood has been restored so the wonderful French polish shines as its best. The clock is mainly made of reddish wood, especially mahogany, that boasts its beautiful veneer and deep color making an effective contrast with lighter pieces made of citronella and beech wood. These pieces are the four decorative columns central shafts and the shield-shaped plank that holds a lovely sculptural metal detail. All the parts are in perfect condition and their combination creates an incredibly smart and luxurious effect. The embossed metal plate matches the mentioned bottom metal detail. It has black filigree hands and engraved black-lacquered numbers. The movement bears the symbol of Kienzle company engraved in the metal; this is one of Germanys oldest watchmakers, founded in Hamburg in 1822. Under the logo we can see an inscription: 1 MILLION. The serial number 11357 is also visible. This striking wall clock is a highly decorative piece designed to become part of the most special rooms decoration.Measurements: Width: 520 mm. Height: 1100 mm.
