Omega Speedmaster Watch, 1993

This beautiful wristwatch is a real classic in its field: it is an Omega Speedmaster Automatic made by the prestigious Swiss company in 1993. This model is a milestone in the brands history: Buzz Aldrin worn an Omega Speedmaster Professional when he took his fist steps on the Moon in 1969. In fact, the Professional model is known as Moonwatch. This particular wristwatch is an Automatic model and has survived to our days in excellent condition and perfect working order. It comes in its original case and is a highly interesting item for any collector or lover of watches.Omega Speedmaster watches are chronographs that the Swiss firm is producing from 1957. As stated before, the Professional model is a manual winding wristwatch that not only was on the Moon but is also one of the several watches qualified by NASA for spaceflight and the only one so qualified for EVA. The watch we can see in these photographs is more modern, an automatic model (needs no winding). At the back we can see the engraved serial number 54443954 together with a fine image of a marine horse and the models name (SPEEDMASTER). Under the image we can also see the omega Greek letter, the brand logo.The watch is made of chromed and black metal. It is a chronograph and has three secondary hands. The face bears the printed name of the model, OMEGA Speedmaster AUTOMATIC, and the logo. The numbers are Arab and the watch has also a mobile outside crown with numbers. This wristwatch keeps the original belt with the Omega logo engraved in it, though the black leather strap has been substituted. It comes in its original case, covered by red velvet outside and by white material inside. On the lid there is a silvery medal with the Omega logo, the companys name and the inscription WORLD SERVICE ORGANIZATION. Inside we can also see the printed logo and brand name in golden lettering.This amazing wristwatch is a historic model that boasts the great precisión and fine design that characterize Omega watches.
