This curious and original wristwatch is an exclusive piece, one of the first wristwatches manufactured in a time when pocket watches were commonly used. The watch and its movement come from Switzerland and were made in the 1910s. The watchs movement has been fully fine-tuned to guarantee a perfect operation. The article boasts a great design full of elegance and sobriety, so simple and fine that has undergone the trace of time with no problem at all. Its design, vintage and modern at the same time, turns it into a stylish accessory. The watchs face is white, whith black Arab numbers and blue metal straight hands. It is in good condition though it shows some signs of the trace of time that provide in with undeniable charm and authenticity. It has the brand Mentor monogram printed at the top: this market name was used by different watchmarkers during the 20th century. The first of all was the factory currently known as E. Meyer & Co., founded in Switzerland as a watch component manufacturer. Later the firm established in England and nowadays it is a precision turned parts manufacturer. The watchs rear cap is a beautiful piece; it is made of nielloed sterling silver decorated with a neo-gothic design (in a great modernist style) engraved in the metal. Inside the rear cap we can see a small hallmark and the watchs serial number, 111638. Under it, the dust cap shows a nice engraving depicting a series of medals and inscriptions with details referring to the movement. Inside it bears the engraved serial number, the silver proportion (LEC 0,800) and the capercaillie hallmark for Swiss sterling silver. This watchs timeless design and perfect operation make it worthy of somebody who can appreciate the precision and quality of vintage watches from the early 20th century.
