Silver 19th Century Wristwatch

Beautiful Lady's Bracelet Watch in solid 835 Silver decorated with Garnets, manufactured in the 19th century by Bartel & Sohn in Augsburg, Germany. It has the particularity that it can be worn as a bracelet, but it is actually an incredible and original watch. It consists in its central part of a beautiful golden dial with black lacquered Roman numerals, separated by beautiful and very decorative wavy shapes. The hands are openwork pica type, also in black. In the center of the dial appears the mark of the famous German silversmith Bartel & Sohn, with a beautiful romantic graphics. The case and bracelet are very decorative, based on beautiful wavy openwork plant forms, scrolls and a decorative pearl. The entire bracelet is dotted with faceted mixed-cut garnets, set in multi-claw settings and bordered by a beautiful golden silver pearl. The garnets are of an intense wine color, and are in very good condition, with hardly any signs of wear. This magnificent watch has the particularity of having a cover on the case of the watch decorated like the rest of the bracelet, which covers the dial and protects the most delicate part of it, turning the piece into a fantastic bracelet. The back of the case is decorated with a beautiful vegetable chiseled, in clear harmony with the rest of the piece, and engraved with the quality of silver: 835 and the initials of the silversmith: BS. The clasp is reeded and appears to be stamped also with the silver and silversmith's mark.This fantastic watch is in running condition and has been checked by a jeweler, who attests to its quality.
