Fantástica colección de discos Edison Diamond en álbum, producidos circa 1920 y en muy buen estado de conservación. La colección está formada por un total de 50 discos, recopilados en cinco álbumes con cabida para diez unidades cada uno. Los álbumes están hechos por encargo y customizados a gusto del propietario; muy probablemente fueron confeccionados en los años 80 o 90 del siglo XX. Se trata de unos discos muy especiales, de gran grosor y que solo se pueden reproducir en fonógrafos Edison Diamond; si se ponen en otras máquinas, las agujas los dañan. Algunos de los discos son muy raros, auténticas piezas de colección muy buscadas por los expertos.

El Edison Diamond Disc Record fue un tipo de disco para fonógrafo creado por Thomas A. Edison como parte de su marca, Edison Record. Se comercializaron entre entre 1912 y 1929. El nombre “Diamond” a la aguja cónica de diamante que se empleaba para reproducirlos. En principio, los discos fueron un gran éxito por su excelente calidad de sonido; en 1920 alcanzaron sus mayores ventas. Sin embargo, poco después empezó su declive por diversas causas: eran más caros y no eran compatibles con otros fonógrafos. La insistencia del propio Edison en imponer sus gustos musicales también supuso un hándicap, al favorecer canciones y tonadas pasadas de moda en detrimento del jazz que entonces causaba furor.
